Assembly Required – Fill Bean Bag
WARNING: Children can suffocate if bean bag filling is swallowed or inhaled. Do not let children climb inside this bean bag. A bean bag is NOT A SAFE sleeping surface for an infant under 12 months of age.
PLEASE NOTE: The zipper pullers of the cover have been removed so they are not accidentally opened by children. A paper clip is best used to open the bean bag cover to pour the beans in.

Filling your Bean Bag
We recommend 2-people to fill your bean bag. One to hold the bean bag (or inner white bag if included) and the other to pour the bean filling into the bean bag.
To minimise spillage, we recommend filling your bean bag over a bath (plug in of course) - that way you can easily clean up spills.
We also recommend getting a large piece of cardboard and making a funnel, this will make filling your bean bag easier.
Every now and then, stop and move the bean bag around to allow the beans to flow through.
Top TIP: It's easier to have to add extra filling, rather than removing it, so we recommend you test your bean bag for fullness, and should you require more, add more in.
Honestly, the hardest part is filling the bean bag, but you will absolutely love it once full!
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND USING FOAM IN OUTDOOR BEAN BAGS - foam absorbs moisture, as a result, can get smelly and more prone to mould.
PLEASE NOTE: We don’t sell polystyrene bean filling. As light as it is, it takes up a huge amount of space - which means the freight costs would be through the roof.
It’s far more economical to purchase your filling from your local retailer such as Kmart, Big W or Target.

Bean filling must be purchased separately from retailers like Kmart or Target (approx. $11 per 100L), as shipping filled bean bags would be costly and impractical.

❤️ CAN I PUT MY OUTDOOR BEAN BAG IN THE POOL?
These pieces are intended for relaxing beside the pool, not in it.
As they’re not fitted with drainage panels, placing them in the water can cause them to absorb moisture, become heavy, and potentially affect their longevity.
If you’re looking for something designed specifically for use in the water, we recommend browsing our dedicated Pool Float collection instead.

Absolutely. Most of our Outdoor Bean Bags and Pool Floats are made in colours chosen specifically for Mooi Living, so our palette is unique to us.
You may come across similar shades elsewhere, but it’s unlikely you’ll find the exact same tones in the same combinations across the market.
❤️ DO THEY HAVE INNER BAGS?
Yes - each of these three bean bags come with a separate inner bag - so the covers are removable.
This allows you to easily fill or refresh the beans and remove the outer cover for cleaning, all while keeping the filling neatly enclosed and secure.
❤️ DOES THE BEAN BAG COME WITH FILLING?
No - all Mooi Living bean bags are supplied as covers only.
For both Australian and international customers, it’s far more cost-effective to purchase bean filling locally from a major retailer in your area. Shipping pre-filled bean bags would significantly increase freight costs due to their size and bulk, so offering covers only helps keep delivery fees as low as possible for everyone.
❤️ CAN I LEAVE MY BEAN BAG OUTSIDE ALL THE TIME?
Yes - Olefin is specifically engineered for outdoor conditions and performs well in both sun and rain.
To help preserve the look and longevity of your bean bag, we suggest placing it under cover or storing it in a dry space when it won’t be used for extended periods, particularly during heavy rainfall or throughout the cooler winter months.
❤️ WILL THEY GET MOULDY?
Olefin is naturally resistant to mould and mildew, so the fabric itself does not promote growth.
That said, mould is caused by environmental conditions. If your bean bag remains wet or is stored in a damp, shaded or humid area for an extended time, surface mould can still occur.

It's actually our second one
My son loves it. I think foam would work better than beans though and you could ship compressed foam pouches to expand inside the lining. Would make set up easier.
The chairs are super comfortable, but it took way to long to fill them!
This is our second bean bag from Mooi, the last one came to a sad demise spilling its beans!
So I was not too upset when I saw the floating double bean bag….its so nice! Sage stripes happily floating in the pool looking inviting. I even managed to fill it alone with minimal spillage!
The quality is great and they’re easy to scrub clean. I do put mine away during winter in the shed to keep them in optimal condition.

We absolutely love our new Mooi Cord Bean Bags! The whole family has been fighting over them since they arrived. The quality is outstanding. We love our outdoor bean bags!
The outdoor bean bag we got is very good quality. It is very comfortable to lie on. It did take a lot of beans to fill it up (1000 litres) which was a bit of a mission and added to the cost. It is very big to store when not outside. We are very happy with our purchase.
We ordered the bora bora bean bag and the ottoman. Both fantastic quality and so lovely by the pool. We got the natural coloured chair and the charcoal ottoman to mix it up a bit. So easy to bring them both inside rather than a Sun lounger that doesn’t last too long in the Queensland summers
